September 1, 2005
Hey Everyone,
Welcome to my new site—there’s a lot of excitement happening this fall and I’m looking forward to sharing these new developments with all of you! Most of you know me as the host of Video I, the primetime PBS show (on KTEH) that showcases independent films and videos. A brand new season is starting September 5th, and in my opinion it’s the best line-up of episodes yet. This year we received hundreds of films, and it was tough narrowing the choices down to fit one season, but you won’t be disappointed. There is an emphasis on hard hitting documentaries this year, covering topics from homeless children in Brazil, to the plight of women in Iraq, to how one man fights the demons of his past after serving our military in two different wars. There is so much more, and I’ll make sure to keep you posted on the latest show happenings well. I’m talkin juicy inside dish about the celebrity interviews, behind-the scenes action at the film festivals, and general drama that I don’t have time to show you on the show itself. Right now we’re in the middle of blitzing the Bay Area with our presence, so look out for us in The Wave Magazine, the San Jose Metro, the SF Weekly, the SF Bay Guardian, the SF Chronicle, and on 21 Camera Cinema screens.
Of course, I also see this as the place that gives you a chance to send your feedback. Do you want to see more interviews, dramas, or more documentaries? Are you going to puke if you see one more romantic comedy? Feel free to send us an e-mail and let us know!
Peace out…
